As the principal of Cesar E. Chavez Elementary in Eugene Oregon prepared for the
school's grand opening in September of 2004, Virco's PlanSCAPE team came through with the right mix of furniture and equipment.
PlanSCAPE enabled classrooms to be equipped in accord with the teaching styles of individual educators. As a result, some rooms have
single-student desks, others have double desks and still others have activity tables that accommodate multiple students. Classroom
seating for students is provided by Virco's ergonomically supportive I.Q.® chairs, which come in 13",
15-1/2"
and 17-1/2" seat height models. Virco's pneumatically adjustable Ph.D.® Series task chairs were chosen for teachers,
staff members and administrators.
The Cesar E. Chavez Elementary library features Virco's modular Plateau® tables and I.Q. 4-leg chairs, while pneumatically
adjustable I.Q. lab stools with a 20-7/8" to 28-5/8" seat height range complement areas with elevated work surfaces. The library's computer lab is also equipped with pneumatically adjustable I.Q. task chairs.
